Hello! I am Whispering Eagle and I am an enrolled tribal member of the Lummi Indian Nation, from northwestern Washington state. I have been a beader for the past 15+ years and enjoy creating the beautiful things that I offer in my store. The beadwork is done exclusively by hand, one bead at a time as my Elders have taught me. We plan on updating our site as often as time allows so check back often.
My people are known as the Salmon People and have been settled in the Puget Sound area for thousands of years. We are a fishing nation and survive on salmon, halibut, dungeness crab, and clams. We have a very close community that are also known for the cedar basket work and carving. Our traditions and culture have survived the hardships of the past 200 years and strive to be honorable and compassionate to all. We have a Salmon fishery and hatchery that replenishes the population of Coho Salmon, and we are working to preserve on the last Ancient Rainforests on the North American contintent.
My husband and I live away from my home reservation, on our homestead in the Heartland of America and enjoy the beauty and peacefulness that surround us. Even though I am far from my home I still have regular contact with my family and follow my traditional ways as taught by my Elders.
